workshops for accessible cycle care

Bike repair courses | Carbon zero | Wellington-wide
Thanks for visiting! WACC is on hiatus at the moment - we don't currently have any courses planned.

Read on to find out more about us.

WACC was established in 2017 as a mobile workshop, fixing bikes and teaching mechanical skills around the Wellington region.

Since then we've helped people learn how to fix their bikes in homes, schools, workplaces and communities, working independently and with groups such as Rebicycle and Green Bikes Trust.

WACC is a women-led company committed to improving gender diversity in the bike scene.

Tēnā koutou, we're Steph and Phoebe, WACC co-directors

We are bike mechanics and educators based in Wellington/Whanganui a Tara. We got hooked on fixing bikes through cycle touring and community bike workshops. We both love that bicycles are empowering and liberating, efficient and practical, and of course sustainable and climate-friendly.

WACC grew out of our desires to see more female faces in the cycling spaces we were in, and to channel our environmental concerns in to a sustainable business.
