WOMxn/TRANS/FEMME block course

A comprehensive 5 week programme of hands-on bike repair skills-building for Womxn/Trans/Femme people*.

Participants will work with their own bike for the length of the course giving it plenty of TLC and leave knowing how to keep it in tip-top condition. Replacement parts including brake pads, cables and housing are included in the course fee. 

This course is for beginner and intermediate level mechanics and will cover:
  • bike anatomy
  • wheels: puncture repair,  tyre & spoke replacement, wheel truing
  • brakes: brake pad, cable & housing adjustments & replacement 
  • drive train: chain maintenance & chain breaking/rejoining, cassette replacement, indexing gears
  • hubs & bottom brackets: cleaning & repacking 
  • pedal & crank removal
  • Urban cycle safety
Tea & snacks provided. Venue is wheelchair accessible.
